KU V-C stresses on women empowerment

YAMUNANAGAR: Mr A K Chawla, Vice Chancellor Kurukshetra University appreciated the great personalities whose joint efforts have contributed a lot in the spread of women education in the area.
While addressing convocation address of Hindu Girls College, Jagadhri on Tuesday stressed on the importance of women education for the upliftment and all-round development of the society.He advised the young graduates to imbibe in then the age-old values of life, which are of permanent value.
He stressed empowerment of women for the reconstruction of society and closed familiar ties.
He conferred degrees to 400 graduates and post-graduates students. 65 student who had excelled in academic and co-curricular activities received prizes from the chief guest. Dr. Urmila Sharma, Principal of the college read out the
annual college of the report. Mr Ashok Chawla President of the college Managing Committee also spoke on the occasion.
